Heidi Klum was born in Bergisch Gladbach Germany on June 1 1973. Erna the mother of Heidi was a stylist. Gunther Kum worked as a manager for Cosmetics company. Heidi's father was formerly an executive producer at 4711, the company that produces perfume. Her home town was Bergisch Gladbach, a small city of about 100,000 inhabitants located six miles from Cologne is where she grew in. She is a former German-American fashion model who now has a job as a TV host along with a producer and fashion stylist. Karin invited Klum at the time, an 18 year old student old, to take part in an German TV talent show named Model 92. Model 92, a show sponsored by the German women's magazine Petra included an evening talk show hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. Klum took on 25,000 contestants throughout Germany as well as Europe until she was one of the three semifinalists. She was the winner in April 1992 of the most expensive prize, which was $300,000.
