Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinctive blend of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. She has performed on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is a name that she has given her is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician by singing and playing at the local church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan It has been remixed since by a variety of producers and has become the mainstay of her live set. Her voice has also been a part of vocals for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as the primary keyboardist in the stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
